WinePolicy.com is a project of Angela Logomasini, a policy researcher at the Competitive Enterprise Institute located in Washington, D.C. This site is designed to educate readers on the scope and impact of wine and spirits regulations and to advocate sensible, free-market reforms.
At CEI, Angela conducts research and analysis on a wide range of regulatory issues, including nanny state regulation, environmental policy, and wine regulation. She is co-editor of CEI’s book The Environmental Source, and her articles have been published in Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, the Washington Times, and other papers. Her background includes serving as a legislative assistant on Capitol Hill, editorial work, and public policy advocacy. She has a Ph.D. in politics from the Catholic University of America. She is also an editor and partner for the Weekly Wine Pick and writes a wine column for the DC Examiner. She is a member of the Society of Wine Educators and conducts educational wine events. Angela is certified at the advanced level with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust, and is currently studying for the WSET Wine Diploma.
